I came to Spain in 1999 after a 22 year career in the Armed Forces.
In 2005 I enrolled in a local dog school in San Pedro Marbella run by the world famous David “The Dogman” for whom I have a great and forever lasting gratitude to.
Twice a week I attended this school with my then, 10 week old German shepherd dog where we were both put through our paces by one of the Costa del Sol’s most experienced trainers, Viv Eales (B.A.G.S.D) both during the lessons and for many hours of discussions afterwards.
I can describe the following 3 years at this school as my apprentice training to become a top class handler.
In 2008 I helped to set up and run a local Marbella based school, but missed the excitement of handling Arnie, my now 3 year old GSD on the agility course and obedience competitions, so returned to concentrate on my now 2 dogs Arnie and Tilly.
The time is now right for me to utilise all the experience gained from training people in the Armed Forces and my love of dog handling to pass as much of this on to local dog owners in the Mijas Costa area to enable them to become confident and responsible handlers.
